CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Cavaliers closed out the 2021-22 regular season with a 118-110 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

With the win, the Cavaliers finished the regular season with a 44-38 record, good for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Cavaliers were led by Darius Garland, who had 25 points and 10 assists. Jarrett Allen added 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Evan Mobley had 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The Mavericks were led by Luka Dončić, who had 35 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists. Jalen Brunson added 15 points, and Dorian Finney-Smith had 13 points.

The Cavaliers jumped out to an early lead, but the Mavericks fought back to tie the game at halftime. The Cavaliers regained the lead in the third quarter and held on to win in the fourth quarter.

The Cavaliers will now face the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. The series will begin on Tuesday in Brooklyn.
