Pochettino departs after one season in charge

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has left his role by mutual consent, the Premier League club have confirmed.

Pochettino joined Chelsea in advance of the 2023-24 season when he replaced interim manager Frank Lampard.

The former Argentina defender has managed Espanyol, Tottenham and PSG during his career.

While Pochettino managed to secure Europa League football via a sixth-placed finish, his Chelsea reign was always intended to be a long-term project.
