Upcoming Disney+ Show Releases New Trailer and Poster

London, May 3, 2023 - The UK premiere of the highly anticipated Star Wars spin-off series, The Acolyte, was held at the Odeon Luxe in London's Leicester Square tonight. The event celebrated the upcoming release of the series, which is set to debut on Disney+ on Tuesday, June 4, with a two-episode premiere.

Disney also revealed the release date for the first two episodes of the series, which will launch on Wednesday, June 5. The announcement was accompanied by an exciting new trailer and poster for the series, both of which give fans a sneak peek at the upcoming show.

The Acolyte is set in a time of great upheaval in the Star Wars galaxy, approximately 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. The series follows the story of a young female Jedi, played by Amandla Stenberg, as she investigates a series of mysterious and terrifying crimes that threaten the stability of the Republic.

The series features an all-star cast including Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dafne Keen, and Manny Jacinto. It is executive produced by Leslye Headland, who also serves as showrunner, and Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef.
