Offseason Wishlist: What Do The Yankees Still Need To Solidify Their Lineup?

Sure, the Yankees have a lot of talent on their roster. But there are still a few holes that need to be filled if they want to be a serious contender in 2023. Here are three areas where they could use some upgrades:

1. Third Base

The Yankees have a few options at third base, but none of them are ideal. Josh Donaldson is a veteran player, but he's coming off a down year and he's not getting any younger. Gio Urshela is a solid defender, but he's not much of a hitter. Miguel Andujar has shown some promise, but he's still unproven. The Yankees could look to trade for a third baseman, but there aren't many good options available. They could also sign a free agent, but the pickings are slim.

The best option for the Yankees might be to give Andujar another chance. He's still young and he has shown some flashes of brilliance. If he can put it all together, he could be a star.

2. Outfield

The Yankees have a lot of outfielders, but they don't have a true center fielder. Aaron Judge is a great player, but he's not a natural center fielder. Giancarlo Stanton is a great hitter, but he's not a good fielder. Joey Gallo is a good fielder, but he's not a good hitter.
